Main tasks for the BI Architect will be: - Responsible for modeling needs (both new and corrections or improvements of existing flow / integrations) and creating advanced conceptual, logical and physical data models, within a complete functional and technical architecture; - Cooperating with other architects, analysts, infrastructure experts and developers to discuss the technical strategy and optimal integration within the existing landscape; - Translating the designed solution towards BI developers, reviewing proposed solutions and optimizing where needed; - Participating in the definition of a testing strategy; - Advancing supporting activities (automation of versioning, release management, scheduling, and security models). The Candidate should have: - At least 5 years of experience in the field and architect competence; - Knowledge of: the BI concepts / general DWH principles; Ralph Kimbal, Bill Inmon, Dan linstedt; Latest market trends (big data, Cloud and etc.); Datavault principles; Datawarehouse dimensional modelling; Powerdesigner; IBM Netteza; SQL and PL SQL; ETL - Power Center Informatica development; UNIX / LINUX; - Ability to adapt quickly to the way of working in the landscape and process; - Understanding of the BI application; - Multitasking skills and be stress resistant; - Good writing and feedback reporting skills; - Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient and solution-oriented attitude; - Superb analytical and problem solving skills; - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; - Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team; - Great English skills (written and spoken). It would be a plus if the Candidate had: - Understanding of: - SAP BI frontend tool development; - Qlik (qlikview, qliksense) or other dash boarding tools like power bi; - Oracle (might be needed when working on multiple platforms); - Developing via wherescape.
